Last Travellers - Natty
The local government threatened Natty with eviction twice in November, and then in January, (2024) when she moved into an abandoned building, the local Council threatened her with eviction again, which was also ordered to be enforced by the court. Natty was granted some time by the court, as an Irish Traveller she was able to invoke Article 8 of the Human Rights Act, which protects her right to privacy. Unfortunately, she's only get a few weeks, so she has to move and look for suitable land where she can park with her Caravan. Natty doesn't want much, just a land where she can live and grow her vegetables. Natty had a shop where she sold herbal products. She earned quite well with her business. Natty spoke honestly about the police brutality that happened to her 1.5 years ago. She was hit by police brutality at a women's movement march in Brighton. She was hit on the head several times and her teeth were broken.
